India has many people who are suffering from such eye diseases as cataract. Unfortunately, those living in remote areas often have no access to optimal eye care, thereby increasing risk of blindness. Based on this situation, Tej Kohli, an entrepreneur and philanthropist, provides Indian people with free access of eye care by establishing corneal blindness eradication. It is a charity program for more opportunity of eye treatment.
Program of corneal blindness eradication was established in 2010 and has reached popularity since then. Reportedly, thousands of poor Indian people living in rural areas have taken advantage of the program. It seems that success of the eradication program is not enough yet for tej kohli india since a mobile clinic will be available in the society, which is called Drishti Rath. This clinic will be using a custom-made bus in which some personnel like optometrist and lens crafter are in charge.
Idea of tej kohli clinic establishment is certainly based on Tej Kohli’s concern about lack of normal access to eye care in India. A custom-made bus itself will be donated by The Concern India Foundation. The program is greatly hoped to reach as much society as possible. A representative of tej kohli dhrishti said that the mobile clinic targets on 100 patients in a day.
